REGENERATION FARM COMES TO PEEKSKILL…

Two graduates of the ECP’s 2020 RC Apprenticeship program have transitioned into Peekskill to steward a small plot of land in Lepore Park on Main Street, right behind Oakside Elementary School. In partnership with the City of Peekskill, we’ve signed a license agreement that brings these farmers onto the land to grow food for free for Peekskill residents, create jobs for youth by hiring youth apprentices to help steward the land, and develop artistic and educational programming for all residents to enjoy.

This Regeneration Farm will prioritize being in balance with nature, using regenerative agricultural practices, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment and nurturing community partnerships. The farmers - Maeve and Milli - are working hard in Fall 2020 to establish the growing space and will be back in the Spring of 2021 to begin planting.
