ec·o·lo·gi·cal ci·ti·zen (noun)- someone who accepts the connected nature of life and takes individual and collective action to build a better world.
The Ecological Citizen's Project works to build ecological citizenship by growing citizen-led campaigns to produce a more just, healthy, democratic and sustainable way-of-life.
We accomplish our work by: encouraging ecological citizenship; developing and supporting regional, community-based campaigns aimed at achieving transformative change; working to build networks of people who are prepared to take part in the movement toward greater sustainability; educating communities about civics, justice, democracy, our ecology and the interconnections between them; and telling personal stories of change to help inspire a cultural shift towards more free, happy, and values-rich life-styles.
The Ecological Citizen's Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization - all donations are tax deductible.
