CSA at Longhaul Farm

DEar ECP/Longhaul community:

For a dozen years, the 10,000 square feet of growing space at Longhaul Farm has provided us and our community with much nourishment. We have expected a lot from this small piece of land: it has supported our CSA program of 50 families each season, provided surplus for donation and it has fed our family.

But every season of production takes from the soil and we have come to realize that this land needs to rest, so we have decided to pause our CSA program for the 2024 season.

Letting land rest - or leaving land fallow - allows it to restore its nutrient balance, build organic matter, recover and recharge. We are grateful for what Longhaul's land has afforded us and know it is in need of this sabbatical.

We're sorry to not have the opportunity to see our CSA members weekly throughout the summer and sincerely regret not being able to provide y'all with fresh, nutrient-dense produce in 2024. There are many amazing growers and farmers in this region that will take good care of you.

We'll still be here and will stay connected. Thanks for your support over the past many joyful seasons.
