Philipstown Climate Fund

The Philipstown Climate Fund (PCF) is launched as part of the Philipstown Fights Dirty climate action campaign to help all of our neighbors take climate action.

Money raised through the PCF will be awarded to low- to moderate-income households in Philipstown to help them take measurable steps to reduce their carbon emissions by replacing a fossil fuel-based piece of equipment for:

- Electric heat pumps

- Electric hot water heater

- Induction or electric oven/stovetop

- Smart thermostats

Donate to the Philipstown climate fund

Help your Philipstown neighbors act and the Town reach its goal of reducing GHG emissions by 10,000 tons per year. The Fund will support community-based projects or provide financial assistance to community members to take climate action.

All donations to the Philipstown Climate Fund are tax-deductible. An independent advisory committee made up of Climate Smart Community Task Force members will review fund project applications on a quarterly basis and determine awards. Awarded projects will have a measurable reduction in emissions and will be credited to the town-wide reduction goals.

Donations are managed by the Ecological Citizens’ Project, Inc., a 501c3 charitable organization. Personal checks can be made to the organization with “Philipstown Climate Fund” in the memo line; Paypal or credit card donations can also be made at ecologicalcitizens.org/donate.
